چکیده
Syntrophy and interspecies electron transfer among different microbial groups occurs in anaerobic digestion, many papers recently reported their positive effect on biogas methane production. In this paper, we present the results of conductive material, i.e., graphene, PAC biochar addition 3.5 L batch experiments, analyzing production curve. A peculiar curve pattern occurred presence materials. Compared to respective controls, graphene produced a surplus 33%, 20% 8%. Microbial community molecular analysis showed that syntrophic microorganisms inoculum were stimulated by material addition. Graphene also appears promote an between Geobacter sp. ca. Methanofastidiosum. This paper contributes understanding DIET-related dynamic PAC, which could be exploited optimize real-scale applications.

The hydrolysis of lignocellulose is assumed to be the rate-limiting step in the anaerobic fermentation process. A fungal hydrolytic enzyme mixture was used to assess the enzymatic impact on different feedstocks for biogas production. The optimal conditions for enzymatic hydrolysis of rye grain silage, maize silage, grass silage, feed residues and solid cattle manure were determined in lab-scale...
متن کاملStudy of syntrophic anaerobic digestion of volatile fatty acids using enriched cultures at mesophilic conditions
Volatile fatty acids are the most important intermediates in anaerobic digestion, and their degradations are extremely complicated thermodynamically. In this research, syntrophic anaerobic digestion of volatile fatty acids using enriched acetogenic and methanogenic cultures in a batch reactor at mesophilic conditions was investigated. Interactive effects of key microbiological and operating var...
متن کاملModeling of Anaerobic Digestion of Complex Substrates
A structured mathematical model of anaerobic conversion of complex organic materials in non-ideally cyclic-batch reactors for biogas production has been developed. The model is based on multiple-reaction stoichiometry (enzymatic hydrolysis, acidogenesis, acetogenesis and methanogenesis), microbial growth kinetics, conventional material balances in the liquid and gas phases for a cyclic-bat...
متن کاملMathematical Modelling of the Anaerobic Digestion Including the Syntrophic Acetate Oxidation
Anaerobic digestion is an effective biotechnological process for treatment of different agricultural, municipal and industrial wastes. However, it is a very unstable process in regard to the biogas reactors operation. This is due to the complicated interactions between different microbial species as well as of the complex transformations of the organic matter affected by a variety of environmen...
